Meet Monaris who is a visionary photographer. She captures the tapestry of everday life and the beauty that surrounds it. Through her lens, she transforms mundane moments into captivating visual stories with emotion and depth. So you may be wondering, how did she even start her successful career?

“I took a leap of faith in 2017 when I quit my full time job for photography and it has been the best decision for me, so I would truly say Follow your dreams! And I am so grateful to be here with this powerhouse of female photographers. My photography style is nostalgic and my hope is to evoke emotion of life.”

Monaris is one of several women we are showcasing at our 19th Street Gallery. It’s Printique’s small gallery that has blossomed into a work of art by presenting dynamic photographers and their photography. For Monaris, we also designed a 12×9 Hardcover Lay flat Photo Book titled Whispers of Ladakah. The photo book showcases the serene and beautiful simple life of those who call it home. Monaris’ use of colors woven throughout the book create a vibrant journey through the hills and livelihoods of its residents.

The lay flat photo book is printed using a traditional silver halide technique. Her images are actually infused into the archival photo paper, giving them greater vibrancy and sharpness. The photo books are also handcrafted in Brooklyn, New York by Artisans and the software offers modern designs and typography.

So what does Monaris have by her side when she hits the streets and hills to capture people in their natural environment? She’s all about that Sony magic. Her go-to camera is the Sony Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX100 VA Digital Camera. Her workhorse of a lens is the Sony FE 35mm/1.4. The combination of the lightweight camera and the lens allows her to create freely and focus quickly.

Of course when traveling, it’s necessary to be able to transfer a large of amount of files securely and quickly. Monaris uses the Sony CFexpress Type A/SD Memory Card Reader to accomplish this task. So from the camera to the lens to the memory card reader, SONY is Monaris’ go-to in the field.
