When you're working on a photo book, our PixPublisher editor does occasionally save your progress. However, you shouldn't rely on this to protect all your work. Whenever you make major changes to your project, you should get in the habit of tapping the SAVE button on the green bar above the workspace. This will save your project at that point in time. please do this as often as possible to protect your work in the event of crashes, connection problems or any other calamities.
What if I can't Save?
Don't panic if you try and save your project and are told you can't do so. Sometimes due to a technical issue, saving doesn't work. If this is the case, you have a couple of options:
- Double check that there isn't an issue with your internet connection by opening another browser window and trying to connect to other sites. If it turns out to be your connection, try re-establishing it and then saving should work.
- If you're able to reach other sites over the internet but still can't save, it may be a problem on our end. Your best recourse in that event is to wait a little while and then try again. If more than a few minutes goes by and you still can't save, please contact customer support and let us know. If it's after hours and support isn't available, you may have to wait longer, but it will be resolved eventually. Simply leave your Pixpublisher browser window connected to us, minimize it, and check back periodically and try to save.
In the worst case, if your browser crashes, or you are unable to keep your browser open with us until the connection re-establishes, we do have an autosave function that should save the majority of your work. The next time you log into AdoramaPix, visit the photo books page and you should be told you have an unsaved project and be asked if you'd like to save it. Say yes, and the most recent version we have should be added to your account with the name COPY appended to it. E.g. Jane's Wedding copy
P.S. If you had successfully saved your project fairly recently before it told you that it couldn't save, then rest assured that all your work up to that point has not been lost.
