AdoramaPix Photo Book Contest

AdoramaPix is pleased to announce their first official Photo Book contest. Are you up to the challenge of creating one of the best photo books of the year? Show us what you can do this holiday season and you may be eligible for one or more prizes as outlined below.
Our contest will offer all AdoramaPix customers with an opportunity to showcase their creativity, as well as their photography and design skills. The goal is to allow our customers to produce a beautiful photo book while allowing them as much creative freedom as possible. Submissions will be judged under four distinct categories:
- Best Photography
- Greatest Emotional Impact
- Best Design & Layout
- People’s Choice
The winners for the first three prizes will be determined by our panel of judges. The winner of the last prize will be voted on by members of the AdoramaPix community. The winners in each category will receive $250 in AdoramaPix credit, for a total of $1000 in prizes to be awarded.

Contest Details:
- Contest entry is FREE.
- Contestants must have an AdoramaPix account – free accounts are included.
- There is no limit to the number of submissions a contestant can make in any of the categories.
- Submissions may include AdoramaPix books you have previously made.
- All entries must be received by 11:59 EST on January 31st, 2011.
- All entries must be submitted via their own posting containing a shared link in the AdoramaPix community Photo Contest Forum before the submission deadline.
- Books cannot be changed or deleted after the submission deadline.
- Submissions will be judged on overall style, page layout & design, emotional impact, and quality of the photography.
- People's choice award will be decided by voting in the community forums.
- Winners will be announced on Monday February 16th, 2011
- Contestants must warrant that no part of their submission infringes on any other party’s rights, and that they have obtained any necessary legal permission to use all the content in their submission.
- Although copyrights and any other rights pertaining to the submission remain with the original owners, contestants must understand and agree that winning submissions may be used by AdoramaPix for marketing and promotional purposes.
- The contest is not open to employees of AdoramaPix, or those who are involved in the organization of this contest.

Hi guys, sorry to ask but could you please re-post these to the Photo Contest Forum? I can move 'posts' to another forum, but I can't move 'comments' replying to a post (which is what these are) or I'd just move them there myself. :) I can also cut/paste these comments and re-post them myself in the right forum, but then they'd show up under my name which isn't ideal either... so.....

The "Add Article" button loops back to the community front page (http://adoramapix.zendesk.com/home). I can't find any way to post a new article here.

I can't seem to get to the right place to do what you're asking after I click the "add article" button. Is the "add article" button working correctly? Can you make it really clear what I need to do?

Sure Scott. Just go to the correct forum by clicking on this link.
At the upper right of that forum page you'll see a button that says Add Article. Click on that button and the rest should be straight forward.

I am having trouble adding an article too. I follow the link and click the add article button but it takes me right back to the list of different forums?
I can't seem to add an article to the photo contest forum either...Can anyone help out? I would love to submit a book to the contest. Thanks for the help.

Hey everyone. I created a new account and that account seems to be having the same problem. I'll figure out whats causing this inconsistency where some people can post and others cannot and let you know how to fix it...
Aha! I found the problem. If you ever have trouble adding an article make sure you are logged in. i.e. if it doesn't have your name in the upper right corner of the screen (like below) and just says "login" then you need to sign in before it will let you post.
For some reason, the link I posted is signing some people out when they follow it. I'll try to get to the bottom of why that's happening and fix it. For now, if you get to the forum and aren't signed in, please re-enter your login information and that will allow you to post your entry.

UPDATE: I found the problem with the link and fixed it. Clicking on the link in the main post, or the links I provided in the two comments in this thread should now take you to the correct forum without signing you out.
