Any chance of you guys offering collage prints? I often get requests for them and I'd rather order them from you then Snapfish.

Mustafa. We have had some discussion about this internally. We have discussed the possibility of having a version of our Book Editing software that can be used to make single sheets as opposed to books. This would allow you to use the power and flexibility of PixPublisher to make single page layouts in any print size or as a canvas wrap. We would offer drag and drop pre-made layouts for most standard print packages as well as some templates for common needs such as invitation cards, save the date cards, collages, graduation announcements, birth announcements, shower announcements, etc.

You would of course have access to the entire library of stickers, and complete flexibility in layout and design. If this is of interest to any of you, please click on the Me too! button above. The number of people that would find this feature useful will have an impact on the priority we assign to it.

Al Escudero, Thanks, I really hope it becomes a reality. I thought about it as soon as I did my first photo book using pixPublisher. Haven't used any stickers yet what are they?

Stickers are great, and they are a way you can get really creative and take your books to the next level. Here is a post describing what stickers are and another describing some of the ways they can be used for professional looking work. Of course both of those posts barely scratch the surface of the potential for stickers.

Our sticker library is being added to constantly. I add new batches every weekend, and each addition opens up dozens of new creative possibilities. Check the announcements forum to check them out.

Any movement in this direction yet?

Not yet Mustafa. Since we only recently upgraded PixPublisher to version 2.0 initial development focused on addressing bugs and responding to customer feedback on some of the UI changes. Our current focus is on improving object alignment and formatting. These changes will make it much easier to quickly and accurately place photos and stickers on your pages exactly where you want them.

Unfortunately with regards to the collages, there hasn't been a lot of interest expressed by the community in this feature if the number of people who clicked on the Me Too button above is any indication.

I make collages using Picasa (free from google).  You just have to add a thicker border to the outside when you print.  You can do that in photoshop, or in Picnik (which integrates with Picasa.)

Do you get them printed by Adorama? Does Picasa let you save the collage to your hard drive?

I haven't printed them with Adorama, but Ive done it with two other services. Pretty much all companies crop in slightly on your image, so it is important to add a border if you are using a mosaic layout. Collages are automatically saved to your hard drive. Picasa puts them in a collages folder. For me on my PC it is D:Pictures/Picasa/Collages. You can also export them to whatever location you want if that's easier.

Also, you can make them any size you want including custom sizes. I use the collages for my blog all the time too.

Thanks, I'll have to try them out, still would rather have Adorama do the whole thing though. One last question, Does Picasa allow you to layer the pictures and adjust the opacity like you can do with adorama's picture book pages?

I would also like the collage capability for large prints.

Me too. The collage I created for my photo book at Adoramapix came out good.

I just received a collage I sent to snapfish and it looks terrible. My pictures are all high-rez but I guess they compressed the collage poster.  Has adorama decided on doing collages? I read this thread but noticed it was from a while back.

I'm still hoping (strongly) for this to happen but I guess not enough people are intrested enough to get AdoramaPix on board. I've been using an old old program (MicroGraFX Picture Publisher) theat has avery good blend tool for placing one object on top of another. Not quite as good as photo Shop but 14,000 times easier. Other photo finishers do collaging also but I havn't seen one yet that alows you to layer the images like you can with Adorama's photobook software. I really don't see why they can't use the same interface to make collage prints, if they would try it I'm sure it would get a good response
