Galleries and how they work

All the photos that you upload to AdoramaPix to print or store are kept in galleries. Galleries are just like any collection of images, the photo album you have on your coffee table, that shoebox filled with photos from your last vacation, only much better! Technically speaking, they are folders that contain your images that are stored on our servers. You can organize photos for viewing, printing and sharing with friends. You can title your galleries and give them descriptions so you can easily find an image or group of images.

Here are the different ways you can use galleries:

  • Temporary Galleries are stored on AdoramaPix servers for 90 days from the date you create them. All galleries you create when uploading photos are automatically temporary unless or until you choose to store them permanently.
  • Long-term Galleries are the ones you choose to store longer on our servers. If you have Basic Membership, you can store up to 3 GB of galleries; with Premium Membership, you get unlimited permanent gallery storage.
  • Favorited Galleries are those that friends on AdoramaPix have shared with you and you have saved to the Favorites tab in the green Photo Gallery navigation bar. You can save any of your friends’ shared galleries to this tab by clicking “add to favorites” when viewing your friend’s gallery.

You certainly can. In the options at he left you'll see the option "Move to Gallery". Just move all the photos to the the gallery you wan tot merge with and delete the empty gallery.

What size and format (JPG, TIFF ... etc) of original files do you require, when uploading onto Adorama ? (Ref: original D7000 RAW files (NEF))

Is it possible to assign a password to restrict access to a gallery?

No, but you can set view/download permissions and assign a private link.
