AdoramaPix Book of the Month Contest (October 2011)
Earlier this year we held our first ever photo book contest. We were so delighted by all the amazing books created by members of our community that we decided we wanted to see more. For this reason we created the AdoramaPix Photo Book of the Month contest.
At the start of each month our judges pick their favorite submission from the previous month’s entries. The creator of the chosen submission receives a $150 credit towards any AdoramaPix print products and their winning entry will be featured as an embedded book in our contest winners announcement. See last month's winner.
For self-promotional purposes, winners will also be provided with an award logo they can display on their website, blog or social media page which links to the contest winner announcement. This is a great way to let your friends and clients know that your work has been recognized and received critical acclaim.
Contest rules:
- You can enter the same book more than once, but a book can only win once.
- Entries should be posted to the Photo Book Showcase forum.
- Each entry should be accompanied by an email to events@adoramapix.combefore the contest cutoff. The email must contain:
- Your name
- An email address at which we can contact you
- A Link to your website or online bio (optional)
- A short description of the book.
- A link to your shared book
- The embed code for your book
- Cutoff for entries is Midnight EST on the last day of each month.
- Winners for the previous month will be announced within 5 business days of the start of the following month. Statutory or Jewish holidays do not qualify as business days.
- While we acknowledge that boudoir and nude photography are valid artistic genres of photography, we request that customers please refrain from submitting books containing nudity or partial-nudity as we cannot display those books on our public forums.

Where is the Book of the Month forum?
Hi Gregory. I have updated the post above to include the correct link. The forum used for our previous photo book contest will be re-purposed for our future contests also. This will make it easier to find entries and keep our forums from getting cluttered. The forum used for all contests will be the Photo Books Showcase forum.
Thanks Al. I posted my entry to the forum (with a link) and sent in the requested info to events@adoramapix.com. It looks like you have to format something special to get the photobook to embed in the forum because when I tried it just displayed the embed code instead of the album.

Loved your book Kelly. It was beautiful, creative and looked very, very professional. Loved the colors, paper usage and effects that gave the book that old look. I was very pleased with your creation. Good Luck.

Hi everyone. Unfortunately, as I have discovered the forum software we use doesn't allow non administrators to add embed codes. Furthermore, even though I as an admin can can add the embed code, it wont display on a non-admin account. It is for this reason that I ask people to email me the info for their post as well as the embed code and I will post it on your behalf. Until Zendesk addresses the problem, that's really the only workaround. Sorry!

#18490 How do I enter my photo book into the July Photo Book Contest? and have not heard a thing. Yes it was Friday afternoon when I was doing this. As I said I did send an email by clicking the link to events@adorampix.com and also submitted a request. When I clicked on the events link a popup appeared giving me a choice of which email application to launch. I used the link to Gmail, since that is the address linked to my Adorama account. However, I went to gmail and could not find anything in the sent or all mail folder so I guess it never really went. I also submitted a request ( #18490) using the tab at the top of the forum page on July 30. Today I received an email reply from Veronica with detailed instructions on how to enter the book. It appears the main issue was that I had only shared the book by invitation and not publicly. After changing the shared settings and going to the photo-book-showcase page I was presented with an 'Add Article', button that was not there last week. You will have to tell me if it is eligible for the July contest, since it is past midnight of July 31. Thanks.
