If you want to move an object slightly you can just use the four arrow keys on your keyboard to move them by 1 pixel in the indicated direction. Holding SHIFT plus the arrow keys will cause the object to move 10 pixels in the indicated direction.

Having the properties pop-up open (see below) will allow you to see the position of the object changing as you move it.
